Manufacturing Process
The production of silicone tubing takes place in several precisely coordinated steps to ensure consistently high quality.
- Mixing the material on rollers: First, the silicone rubber is mixed with colorants or special additives to improve certain properties such as heat resistance. This process creates a uniform mixture that forms the basis for the quality of the finished tubing.
- Extrusion: Subsequently, the prepared material is pressed through an extrusion machine. During this process, the tubing obtains its desired shape, while the size is precisely controlled.
- Tempering: After extrusion, the silicone tubing is heated to cure it. This step is particularly important as it determines the final properties of the tubing, such as flexibility and durability.
- Quality Control: Finally, each tube is carefully inspected. Important factors such as Shore hardness, size, color, and other quality characteristics are checked to ensure that only flawless products are delivered.
