Silicone Fabrication - Standard cross-sections and specific cross-sections

Our standard program for silicone fabrication includes geometries, profile geometries without hollow chambers, and cross-sections with differently dimensioned hollow chambers.
For silicone fabrication, we create technical drawings, produce samples, and specifically utilize the possibilities in toolmaking.
Silicone extrudates can be produced by punching, bonding, or cutting to length and slicing. In most cases, these methods are combined.
Finally, extrudates can be printed.

Silicone Fabrication - Variants, Shapes and Colors

In silicone fabrication, foam or compact silicone can be used.
The Shore hardness is variable and ranges between 15 and 90 Shore degrees.
Generally, silicone extrudates can be produced in any RAL color.

The extrudates are either platinum-cured or peroxide-cured. They are tear-resistant and heat-stable.
If they are to be used in the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, or in the drinking water and sanitary sector, it is of course guaranteed that they possess the legally required approvals.
This means, among other things, that the extrudates are food-compliant and approved for drinking water.

Silicone Extrudates - Geometries and Cross-section

Extrudates made of silicone can have different geometries and cross-sections.
In addition to U-profiles and T-profiles, more complex cross-sections are also offered. In any case, we pay attention to precise planning of the individual geometries as well as
careful production execution.
In this context, we expressly emphasize that every silicone profile is a custom-made product.
It always meets the highest quality standards, regardless of whether the geometry involves standard profiles, square profiles, or more complex variants.
For simple geometries, the maximum width of silicone extrudates is 220 mm, while the maximum height is 60 mm.

Silicone Fabrication - Properties of the Extrudates

There are a number of properties that prove to be very positive in practice. Thus, the extrudates are:

  • biocompatible
  • approved for drinking water
  • food-safe
  • taste-neutral
  • odor-neutral
  • weather-resistant
  • ozone-resistant
  • aging-resistant and
  • temperature-resistant.
The latter property, in particular, can be highlighted separately, as the extrudates can tolerate temperatures between minus 100 degrees and plus 300 degrees Celsius.
